Polly Christy, B.A., M.Ac, L.Ac, Dipl.Ac (NCCAOM), NADA Certified, received her Master of Acupuncture Degree from the prestigious Tai Sophia Institute (now known as Maryland University for Integrative Health), where she maintained a private practice and has served on their Masters level faculty and senior staff and coordinated the clinical resident program at Tai Sophia, providing mentorship for recent graduates. Tai Sophia Institute is America’s first accredited acupuncture school founded in 1975 in Columbia, Maryland. She completed a post graduate apprenticeship with the president of Tai Sophia Institute, Robert Duggan. Polly has studied with Chinese Master Tom Tam in Boston, Massachusetts and Mayan osteopathic and herbal healer Don Aurelio in Yucatan, Mexico and Balinese healer Jakorde Rei who was spiritual healer to the king of Ubud and people who came worldwide for his mastery.
She earned her B.A. in International Studies with magna cum laude honors from the University of San Diego. Ms. Christy is fluent in Spanish, and integrates acupressure, massage, cupping, gua sha and aromatherapy therapies into her practice.
She is licensed by the South Carolina board of Medical Practitioners.
