About Jill Smith

I have worked in the healing arts since I was a volunteer nurse at 13 years old. I have a graduate degree in nursing as well as acupuncture. I worked in acupuncture (as a graduate of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute) since 2000.

I have a solo practice and treat one patient at a time. I do not run more than one treatment room at a time. That way I can give my undivided attention to each patient who chooses to take their healing journey with me.

I blend both 5 Element and 8 Principle approaches in my practice. This means that I treat the body/mind/spirit of each patient.

I use a multitude of modalities in addition to the traditional pins: moxibustion, Gua Sha, Electric stimulation, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular retraining and more. When appropriate, in order to offer the most well balanced approach to meet the patient’s unique needs, I will refer to other modalities. When PT, or other body work can be incorporated into the acupuncture process, it can often offer the optimum outcome.
