About Amy Lewis

Dr. Amy Lewis, D.Ac., Dipl. Ac. has spent her almost 30 year career focusing on the root cause of illness and disease rather than focused on symptoms alone. Dr. Amy works with patients from professional athletes to children, treating issues ranging from sports injuries to infertility, from migraines to cancer care. Her specialties include pain management, neurocognitive health, women’s health, and “food as medicine”.

Dr. Amy has been featured on radio, TV and in newspapers, including CNN, New York Times, Washington Post and USA Today. She is the current Chair of the NFL Concussion Settlement Player Advocacy Committee which focuses on neurocognitive health of former NFL players. She served as team acupuncturist for the Washington Commanders and works with the NFL Players Association, delivering care to players and their families.

Dr. Amy holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture from Maryland University for Integrative Health (now NDMU) and is Nationally Board Certified. She has studied in China as well as the United States and holds a black belt in Kung Fu. Dr. Amy is past president of the Acupuncture Society of Washington, DC and served as national representative for the American Society of Acupuncturists.
